Qualcomm Announces Winners for Qualcomm Vietnam Innovation Challenge 2026

Finalists present AI innovations in Edge computing, IoTs, Robotics, Healthcare and more.

HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM, September 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Qualcomm Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, announced the top five finalists of the fifth season of the Qualcomm^® Vietnam Innovation Challenge (QVIC). Supported by Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology since its launch in 2019, QVIC fosters innovative startups by providing extensive benefits including technical support, business coaching, intellectual property training and mentorship.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoàng Minh commended QVIC for increasingly expanding its reach beyond startups to include research groups, university-based projects, and spin-off enterprises. This is precisely how science, technology, and innovation can truly create value – by bringing ideas and research outcomes to market and transforming them into products, businesses, and new sources of value for Vietnam’s economy.

The five winning teams of QVIC 2026 are NAISCORP ROBOTICS, Champion; TENSOR, Second Prize; VEEP, Third Prize; and AIZ JSC. and OPENMIND ROBOTICS, recipients of the Innovation Award. The winning teams will join Qualcomm Technologies’ global network, enhancing their industry exposure and opportunities to participate in global trade shows and customer meetings. The five winners were recognized through cash prizes totaling US $255,000: NAISCORP ROBOTICS, Champion, received US $100,000; TENSOR, Second Prize, received US $75,000; VEEP, Third Prize, received US $50,000; while AIZ JSC. and OPENMIND ROBOTICS each received a US $15,000 Innovation Award.

The QVIC program encourages the development of Vietnam’s emerging technology ecosystem by identifying and nurturing small to medium-sized companies designing innovative products in crucial technology areas like artificial intelligence (AI), edge computing, 5G, IoT, robotics, smart cities, automotives, and other technologies, and leveraging Qualcomm Technologies’ cutting-edge mobile platforms and technologies. QVIC startups have filed over 200 patent applications with the patent filing incentive of the program.
